Paint, Boxes and Flooring Galore!

As I write this, I am staring at my paint covered sore hands and beaming with pride. The new store is coming along well, with only a few bumps along the way.

For those of you that don't know, our last day open at our Port Clinton location was Sunday, November 5th. Our tentative opening for our Sandusky location is November 18th. When we make moves, we make MOVES. Mr. Sham Fam has burning the midnight oil, working so diligently to bring my vision to light. To say I owe him is an understatement.

While not the most ideal time of the year to be moving, we had to take the bull by the horns and make the jump. We had to go where the people are and be in a location that is both updated and safe. To say I will miss our rustic Second Street location is an understatement. I've shed quite a few tears over these last few weeks and I am sure there will be plenty more.

For those that have visited our new location prior to us taking up residence, I think you are going to be greatly surprised at the transformation. We have had so many people step up to help us and I won't ever be able to express my gratitude enough. From book club friends, friends that are like family and my hardworking staff (some of which are brand new and are having to deal with me losing my mind and the packing tape at least three times a day), we have been so blessed with such love and support. This move feels so right. The new store already feels like home. I can't wait to pour my first candle there.

So if you've made it this far in my little update, I have a favor to ask. With our store front being closed these 2 weeks, we need help with our online store. Your purchase helps us not only fund the renovation of the new location, but also allows me to pay my employees their worth. As we approach the holiday season, I encourage you to shop small. Walmart will always be there, but your favorite apothecary, clothing boutique and bakery might not always be. Step up and show them that you believe in their dreams. I promise you, it's worth it.

Sending love & light,

Julia
